Hey guys,
Just some feedback, either like it or lump it
As an example:

It only takes a second for you to have a look and post something that might help newies and such, instead of just saying "do a search" honestly it's getting more repetitive than people creating dumbass threads over and over. Now half the time when u do a search all you find are closed threads of mods saying "do a search".
Now before you take a defensive approach and say these are the rules and we dont have time to help everyone.. Ive been a mod and I know what it can be like and it takes next to no time to do something constructive and provide some help, especially if your the first to see the thread and no flaming has started why not lead by example.
Just something to think about anyway.

I agree somewhat. I know that I give a lot of attitude, and that's the same in person. But some of the threads that get started are ridiculous - three in one day on 1147c/818b cams, two by the same person!
We're always trying to improve the search and new thread functionality to prevent these common and covered questions being raised. But as a member Mogz, I appreciate your feedback and take it on board.

Hmm, patronising?^
I agree morgz, it's too easy to say 'do a search' and lock the thread.
I've noticed other forums are extremely helpful even if you're a n00b and it's something CT needs to adopt.
You'll never stop all of the stupid questions but the genuine ones can be helped quickly.
A lot of the time it's the members that come in with the goods and actually help out when a mod is there saying to search.
Anyway, your recommendations have been put in for processing...
You guys also have to understand aswell though that not everyone entering this site is at the same knowledge and experience as alot of the older members on here and alot of 'n00bs' use this site as a main source of help, so sometimes searching doesnt always provide the answers as opposed to asking the question in parts so the answer becomes straight forward to you. Ive seen heaps of threads locked or people that cop it because of a mistake, honestly like what Morgz said wouldnt you rather search and find 100 threads covering the same topic and question rather than 100 threads covering closed threads and 'do a search' threads??
My 2 cents im still a newie round here but just some feedback, otherwise sites extremely helpful with the right person.
cheers

Oh, also the whole 'search' feature will be upgraded with the new set up... not sure when its coming but it's going to work a lot better than it currently does.
Maybe this forum needs a better technical area. I've seen on supraforums.com.au they have a whole list of how to mod your supra... what the ignition and fuel systems will handle, roughly how much power and recommended mods etc.
I think that would stop a lot of the 'silly' questions, although we will always have school holidays to keep us on our toes!

Not at all. I know I display a lot of attitude, and drop a lot of comments that probably rightly piss people off. But when people point it out, I can take a step back and think about it.

well as a mod you should keep the attitude to real life and think about it first as i have had to deal with it first hand and is the only time in nearly 5 years ive had a problem with a mod???
Maybe before you close a thread place a link up of the topic your referring too. Just a thought, save the same person placing up another thread saying the exact same thing.
We'll make sure 5spdvl gets a slap on the wrist at the next mods meeting
We do try to help out as much as possible and we are working on ways to make it easier to find info so these threads become less of an occurance. 99.9% of the time we will endeavour to either reply in thread or send the thread starter a PM with advice & why their thread has been closed.
As for mods and their attitudes, if you have a problem with one of the mods simply PM another mod or SirGeo and we'll try help you out.
I'll now lock this thread.
Cheers
Oliver.
