hey,
does ne one here pride themselves as a quality sub box designer.?
all i need is a rough design for a box that will fit very snuggly behind the back seat..
something that is around 1.25cubic feet in volume..(Only size i could find, had to be american)
link to the sub info http://www.pioneer.com.au/en/Product...%20W307D2.aspx (http://www.pioneer.com.au/en/Products/Car%20Entertainment/Subwoofers/TS%20W307D2.aspx)
any help would be nice

Defiantly a sealed sub box would sound good. Does your setup consist of a middle fold down seat? If your amp can handle a 2ohm load then good. A 2ohm sub always sounds better than a 4ohm sub, with more reflex and sound pressure. Therefore production more sound waves, more dnb or more decibels.

yeh i want it sealed into the cabin.. i'll build my box to perfection, seal it in nice and tight then shop around for a good amp

cheers mate, yeah i'm gonna cut a hole slighty smaller then the face of the box, then screw it from the front to the seat base.. then use heaps of space invader to try seal it completly in the cabin. its a very affective method and if done right can produced massive bass..

This is the setup in my VZ R8. Completely sealed with perspex and
2 1400 watt subs. People reckon they can hear me coming from a
couple of km's away. If you have the right dimensions it will sound
wicked. Plus having a sub box in the boot with a port will cause more
vibrations. Also a sealed sub box allows for more firm bass, more punch.
Anyway people have different preferences. My 2 cents worth.
