VK Calais - [MIZVKC] MAKE: Holden VK Calais YEAR: 1984 PAINT: Brown/Bronze INTERIOR: Standard Brown/Burgandy Here is my girlfriends VK Calais. We bought it around 2 years ago with 170,000km on the clock. Posting this up because im bored, enjoy your read. This is picture of the day we got it, stock as a rock 3.3L injected motor. For a long time it stayed on her dads farm and collected dust, with the only major change to it externally was to get rid of the louves and weathershields, while adding a brock grill. Inside the car, it got decked out with a pioneer headunit, and rockford fosgate speakers in custom door pods. After a while, the plans were to put a V8 in it so we decided to go out and buy a complete vk 308 to put in it. The body was rough, engine bay filthy, and on gas. Heres a pic of the day we picked it up. After that sat for ages, i decided to get work on cleaning it up before putting it in the other one. Months passed yet again and then decided that we were sick of the 202 motor so we ended up pulling out the injected crap and replaced it with the 308 and running gear to suit. New pics will be up soon of how the overall car looks to date, and better photos once i upload them off my fone. As the car sits now, it currently has a stock 308, with extractors, and recently lowered superlow spring in the back and new lowered shocks. I'll keep adding pics as we go but its not the quickest build. Plans in the future are new auto (going in 12th nov.) vl turbo diff and then maybe a few light engine mods. For the rest of the car, lower the front, and some venetians, and later on down the track a respray. -Jason Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
