Well my name is nick and i firstly started the vl scene with my old Silver/mx grey SL It was a 5speed, with extractors and mostly everything you could have as a p plater...i loved it to death...Had it for around 1.5 years and then got defected/Epa'd on the spot while on the way home from work.....it was becoming a hassle to get everything fixed, but i cleared it all up and decided to sell it, I had a plan after my defects ect to sell and to then save up for a VLCT when i get my fulls.... Well im still on my greens and just couldn't pass up the opportunity of buying a beautiful silver VLCT ...I purchased the car a couple weeks ago now of a top bloke Mick, couldnt of been more satisfied with how he had kept it over the years, and how into detail he was into keeping the car absolutely stunning!cheers mate So now im really trying to keep it locked up away in storage untill JAN , after driving it home from where i got it, and loosing my turbz virginity ...i think iv brought it out of storage more times then i have expected i will hopefully be coming along to the CT cruise on the 18th.... Well enough talk....heres some pics... And how she sleeps locked away in storage... Any way, here are some of the mods that the car currently has.... Highflow T3/T4 Turbo (t04b v-trim comp w/stage 3 backcut turbine wheel) Chipped ECU Reco Cylinder Head Bosch BOV AVO Coolant Header Tank AVO Stage 2 Intercooler AVO Ported throttle body 3" Mandrel Exhaust, inc turbo dump pipe Battery Relocated to Boot Rebuilt Diff, LSD Rebuilt Gearbox, MX7 5 speed H/Duty Clutch Rebuilt turbo brake calipers, front and rear Near new brake pads VS Front Door Pods future planswhen i have some $$ saved....i plan to upgrade fuel system with 044 pump, along with a surge tank, bigger injectors, new fuel rail,ive been looking at some plug in ecu's like Motec, Haltech, Autronic, Mircotech and link still dont no what one....but still researching info on all of them,then a upgrade to a GT 35/40. As for looks wise i was thinking to spray the calais door moulds MX grey...but still deciding on the idea , you dont see to many 1tone silver calais around, where u see MX grey ones here and there.....but time will tell what happens anyway... these mods will take awhile to get going...due to the $ involved..but untill then i am really satisfied with what i have going at the moment...it runs like a dream right now...the only mod that i might come quickly is some new ve ssv rims....or just be keep the calais wheels and polish em up... Since the cruise is on sunday...i gave it a wash and attempted to polish it at a mates house b4 it got dark....was going to get Justin (obsesv) to do it but my work screwed me.... i personally think i didnt do it properly...and its need more buffing to make it more shiny...unless its my bad camera phone .... Thannks fellas yea id like to get some door stickers..but gota keep it quiet...i was looking at your silver vl when it was for sale actually but then found one down here yea the cruise is guna be hecticc lol it will be good to meet and see the people behind the screens lol kinda had a little trouble with my car today,...the brake lights were constantly on...and wouldnt turn of and were killin my battery...had no idea where the little switch spring thing is but eventually found it and poped it back in place yesterday i had a cop rip a half burn out to do a u turn...and then flew half way back up the road to come straight behind me with the sirens on....started preparing for the worst cause they followed me into bloody hurstville equatic center car park....but they just stoped...and watched me drive away...it like they were playing mind games... lucky man... probs wanted to see a turbo badge or fmic but couldnt see one i'd say keep urs sleeper spec till january then go silly
