hey guys, recently my headunit stopped working. i pulled it out and looked at all the connectios and everything looked sweet. whoever installed the headunit taped constant power from the boot release motor in the glovebox (coinsidently this doesnt work either).
any ideas? cheers

I assume the boot release is fused somewhere, check the fuse box first?

i think the fuse for the boot release is down the bottom might be 17? check again you might have missed one, if not run a new wire to constant at the ignition or to the battery.

If the headunit doesn't have constant power, it loses its retained memory. It should however, still work when the key is on because it's getting an ignition feed. If it's not working at all I'd be checking the earth and the ignition wire. There's also a fuse for some headunits in the back of the unit itself.
