Ok ladies and gents, My VL turbo has a really rough idle and dose not register any thing on the tacho! (e.g tach reads 0rpm but the car still runs) However once in a farking while it decides to oscillate & then run smoothly & sits on 750rpm! I have replaced leads, plugs, coil, dizzy cap, rotor button & o2 sensor & its still not happy Next step is to replace cas and then maf sensor but if any1 has some ideas as 2 whats causing this problem then i would be much obliged P.S I have also tightened all fittings 2 the cooler and the bov has been set properly! Im also not sure how 2 run a diagnostic so if any1 can help it would be much appreciated! Finally, the car has a ticking noise that sounds like an injector but i cant seem 2 isolate which one it is even with a stethoscope! anyway any help would be great! Cheers. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Could all these sensors really be failing? When i bought the car it was running sweet & other than a rough idle and a slight misfire it runs fine??? Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

check your coolant temp sensor and AFM sensor and wiring plugs, boths of these will cause the car to run very rich when not working IMO a Cas will **** it self before it logs a code, remember that vl ecus are very basic. det sensor will only remove 5degrees in certain sections on the map if faulty or disconnected

Also the car has been going through a fair bit of fuel (its unregstd but even idleing in the driveway its chewing a fair bit) but the o2 sensor was dead so that obviously was not helping matters! I will look @ getting a coolant temp sensor from the wreckers and see if that helps Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
