hey guys im lookin at making my ss louder.. its running a 2.5 inch exhaust with high flow cat and rear muffler, is it worth taking the rear muffler out or will this be too loud? any ideas would be good thanks.
That depends on your definition of too loud. Sounds like it would be pretty loud already?
If you want it louder than what it is currently replace the rear muffler with a 12” resonator… that’ll make it around 20-30% louder

if you haven't done so punch out your catylac converter and then weld a 2.5 inch pipe straight throught your cat and take out your rear resonator.
that would be loud!!!!!
i have single 3'' with a gutted cat, and a high flow on the rear.... its nice... as long as the epa dont find you... keep a rear muffler to advoid dirty drone
i got paceys, twin cat punched out and full twin 2.5" all the way, 2 centre mufflers and jus twin straight pipe out the back. loud as all ****, but still throaty because of the middle mufflers and paceys
on my 5.0l patrol i got hsv headers, 3 inch pipe all the way through with high flow staino cat and a big barrel 2 3/4'' muffler
doesnt drone like i thought it would which makes me as happy as a pig in sh1t
read about 95dp when the exhaust guys checked it!
sounds unreal and and turns afew heads when ever i giv it a boot full
so my vote is single 3''! cheaper as well!
