thats one spastic looking vn!
hopefully you get it back....
.... if not keep a close eye on ebay and trading post if a set of vn group a throttles pop up in Victoria over the next couple of mnths. Place a max bid of 50K so no one buys em. Arrange pick up with the seller, and bring at minimum 20 full carloads down with you. SEEK & DESTROY these thieving **** suckers.

Hey mate, i've got mates in the wrecking industry (commodore wreckers) that are keeping an eye out for bits and pieces and will spread the word over the hotline to other wreckers. I've text a **** load of guys who will forward the texts to others. There'll be more people looking for this car than Bin Laden!.
Good luck.

My advice to guys doing up their cars blackout your plates online or register your cars address to a relatives place or a reliable source.
That way it will make it harder for the low life theifs to locate your pride and joy.

Thats hard to do these days.
Years ago, no probs getting a mate who works at vicroads to check the details on vicroads database. Now if someone at vicroads checks up a rego/personal details relating to certain number plates it all gets logged on the server and stays there. It will show which vicroads computer/time/date etc the rego was checked. So if it is an "inside job" vicroads can check to see if anyone has looked up the details relating to that particular numberplate & questions can then be asked. Dont know how you would go about getting vicroads to check though, dont really think they will be of much help unless cops are involved.
It could have even been someone driving past the owners house at the time he was putting it in/taking it out of the garage etc.

29-09-09, 08:58 GMT+10#16 Hey guys, i really appreciate everyones help. Its a feeling i cannot describe and i dont wish upon noone. every dollar on this car i earned working. Nothing on it was given to me for free, nothing on it was stolen. Its just really painfull.
i just rang vicroads and checked when the vehicle information had last been checked. not since last year so that crosses that out.
The car was un-insured..
If who ever stole my car is reading this, i am willing to pay you money to bring the car back untouched. Please consider it and give me a call

Would love to catch them though, things i would do to them!!.....
