Hi. i have a hq ute which has the 253 with 4 speed box, im after alittle more power from it. have been told that the 465 holley is best for the baby 253, anyone got one that i can bolt straight on and go? Also i would like to put a cam in it, what cam do you recommend?.

hey mate i had an old 253 in my LX hatch. did it up a bit, put a 308 nice cam in it new rockers, lifters, elec dizzy, etc and a 600 vac sec holley, took a bit of rootin round with jets, springs etc but **** it went in the end. ended up clappin out the heads it would rev to 6Grand plus :) wouldnt waste ur time with a 465 yeh they're 4 barrel but too small. they use them on 6's.
