Guys i have searched threads in regards to installing a vt/vy auto in a 1995 vs ecotec but have found alot of conflicting feedback. My question is can it be done ? Has anyone recently installed one? My tranny is slipping alot and was hoping to upgrade to a newer box? I have found a few low kilometre autos from a vy ecotec and have found them to be cheaper than the vs box Any help or feedback appreciated

Yes it can be done, i've done 1 before. But you have to grid a bit off the gearbox so the exhaust will fit through. And you can't put back the inspect cover back on. And also i find those gearbox shifts alot firmer and can take a bit more power If i remember correctly it should be a 2HFD

When u say chop a bit what do you mean? and thnx for ur reply well have fun making something for a inspect cover as they dont give you much room, but it can be done. yes the loom all goes in and the computor recognise it. Driver side of the exhaust will have to be chop (a good chuck of it) this is for the exhaust to go through. PS you have to use a good sharp angle grinder.. Or if you can't be stuff with the mods, i can always sell you a complete engine and transmission out of a vs
