hey guys just installed a trimatic in my vl. . we put a bnm shifter in it and we came to line up the cable to the shifter bracket and 1,2,3rd line up but park and reverse dont line up and the linkages we got are for a timatic?? any ideas wat the problem may be?

Does the linkage attached to the trans have any more then one hole for the shifter cable to plug into? I ended up using a custom one with the hole in a different position...
