Hey guys thought id post a thread about my vl. Bought the car about 2 months ago off a member from this site. It had a fresh paint job but apart from that was stock standard...hadnt even been boosted. First on the list was a manual gearbox, bought a complete mx7 conversion from SLOW6 and just had to get a pedal box and centre consol. Next thing on the list was suspension so took it down to my mates at Wilkinsons suspension for all new springs, shocks, all new bushes, adjustable panhard, pretty much everything and got them to roll the guards. Had a few problems tho because it was so low and once the dropped it off the hoist the tyres were still rubbing, long story short it had a VN diff in it. Got it home then the week after took it up to Factory RE to get a nice little package done. Fuel system, computer, exhaust, gt35r, FMIC, and a few other things, they also swapping the diff to vlt one with a spool. Was up there on Friday night having a squizz and took some pics so ill post them up if ya want to have a look. wow, 2 paragraphs for alot of acchievements. pad it out!! wheres the suspense! haha sounds awesome mate, thats crazy though, sounds like you smashed it all together so quick, but i can tell theres a lot of money in those items there, you've obviously done some serious planning and some hard work to earn that kind of money. how about some more info though coz im pretty interested, as im undertaking something similar myself. some specs etc of the motor? what computer? specs of the turbo. sounds like you're putting a nice streeter together, would love to hear more about it.

haha suspense?? im living it until i pick it up!! Hate waiting for it. Yeh done a bit of research and learnt from other people but i pretty much let Factory RE put a package together and trusted their advise. The motor isnt being touched until after powercruise, pretty much just doing bolt ons so its a bit more fun for p/c. Then after it will be stripped down and top to bottom rebuild with forgys etc. The computer is microtech LT10S, turbo is Garret gt35r internally gated fitted to the standard manifold using a wedge. Ill post more as it gets put back together. They know their **** and have their own dyno etc too.

update...........diffs in, turbos on, fuel rail, injectors and intake, exhaust is mocked up, coming along nicely. Have uploaded a few new pics if ya wanna see.

Cars nearly finished....just waiting on a few final bits n pieces n hoping to dyno tune this weekend. Picked up some 20inch wheels which DO fit fine, ill post some completed pics once ive got it back and detailed it inside and out ready for powercruise!!!!!

haha thats ok, yeh was too wide in the back..new vl mini spooled diff is way better. It made 355hp with standard motor......ended up ****in it at powercruise----> big end. Have found another turbo motor from a member from this site...picking it up Sunday. Still waiting for some quotes on rebuild with cam n forgies etc etc....Cant wait to get it down to motorplex for a few runs n see how she goes......ill keep yas posted with progress Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

What boost were u running? ring applied automotive for a quote man a few people on here can vouch for them.
