I was thinking about getting a front pair of BA/BF XR seats, to put in the VL. I've always felt pretty comfy in my BA Ute, and these seats are soooo much cheaper than what Holden seats normally go for. Has anyone done this conversion out there?

id say they will fit straight in if you just whack some VL rails on them. dno whats involved in putting the new rails on though, i think you have to weld them

As long as the width is similar, they'll physically be able to occupy the same space. The rails will be interesting though. You won't know until you try it, b1ancardi. I didn't think BA seats were particularly comfortable; maybe XR is different.

Yeah, I have XR seats in my BA XLS ute. They are kinda hard, but they cup you in well. I find in the stock VL seats, I get a very sore back after being in it too long. Not at all in my ute. But yeah. Not going for a glamorous interior in my VL. If I can pick up some XR seats for $200 to $300, I'll give it a go and bump this thread to let you guys know how it went. I think they'd look quite nice with a re-trim too.

I suppose it's something different, rather than going straight for aftermarket buckets.
