Hi Guys, I am getting 20's put on VT soon and have been recommended to out a camber kit in. Just wondering if its really worth it? And is there any point for a camber kit on a VL also? thanks

have you lowered the vl or vt but yes its worth is for less wear on the inside cause 20's arnt cheap

almost a must for a lowered Vt. I take it they are talking about a offset bush for the rear of the Vt to adjust camber and toe. Cant fit these to the rear of Vl's

The VT is running FE2 suspension. So its not really lowered but the car always chews the inside of the tyres so I am definately getting it on the VT just not too sure for the VL. (the vl is standard height at the moment will be getting lowered soon also.

A VL has a different situation to a VT. A VT requires the camber kit because when lowered, the IRS causes the rear wheels to lean in, chewing the inside edges of the tyres. A VL does not have this problem, as it has a live axle differential, and the wheel will always sit perpendicular to the road not matter how much the car is lowered. A "camber kit" refers to a set of modified suspension components that adjust the angle or camber the rear wheels on IRS Commodores; often used to correct camber when lowering has been performed on ride height. The only camber modification possible on a VL with standard live axle differential is at the front wheel, via adjustable strut tops (but this is usually to increase the camber, to change steering dynamics). Short answer: VT = yes, VL = no.

If your running stock FE2 suspension in your VT you don't need a camber kit, but by the sounds of it you need a decent alignment VL's only need camber kits when really low in the front, most can do without. Camber kits in VLs only apply to the front because the rear has a live axle
