Guys. Long shot but any advise would be great. I have a vlct with a EMS stinger. I bought the vehicle not running and have since got it running. When taking it for a drive it appears to be hesitant comming onto boost and then it seems as though its perhaps cutting out. Feels like a boost cut from the computer maybe. It doesnt stall it just feels as though the computer is backing it off somehow. Feels a bit like a vehicle hitting traction control. Ive been told it could be a couple of things. Leaky Intercooler piping/manifold Dodgy AFM ( does a stinger use this? ) Knock sensor I will probably end up taking it to a workshop but if anyones got any clues that would be great. Cheers!!! Nick

sounds like its leaning out when it starts hitting boost... is the computer reading vacuum?? doesnt need afm anymore throw it away unless ur using the standard airbox... get it on a dyno before u blow it up

if the thing has been putting around and idling on an untuned map, then chances are the plugs are probably fouled off their head as well. pull the plugs and see if they are black. if they are, replace. then drive the car straight to your tuner of choice! (someone that knows a thing or two about the EMS also!)

Ems aint the best things to tune. I would most likely say your plugs are stuffed. Check the gaps on them. If you didn't gap them down when you got it going then it's probably the reason right there. Also try running without afm as ems dont need it.
