Hello. I'm looking at changing my calais' interior to a VN calais, I'm in love with the rear headrests! I understand you need to unstitch each side and trim it back 20mm each side, are new support brackets required to be welded in? I couldn't imagine that being too difficult, are there anything someone would like to tell me before I spend a bit of money on a vn wreck? Also I'd love to see some pictures of the completed job if someone feels great enough to take some, particularly of how they modified the bottomhalf of the rear seat.. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

doubtful they changed the rails, it's not hard to weld in support plates in any case. Seats arrived yesterday I'll post up some photos as I go. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

i got them from a mate for $50 so not sure wat was done to the foam but the rails have just been bent out to fit the standard brackets i would take them off to take a pic but it took like 4 hours and 3 guys to put them in but they fit perfect

lol.. I have a VN Calais interior in my other VL at the moment. Took a bit to fit up. The front seats were direct bolt in once you change the rails over. The rear seats took some customising (removal of foam, some wire, and then fabric re-stapled back into place). Took a bit to get the lower seat in, but the standard clips do work. I modified a trolley pole to have a groove in it to help get it in. Goes in real tight.
