If the car's lowered, the centre bearing tends to wear out quicker and makes a whining noise. I wouldn't recommend putting a one piece if it's driven regularly because the angle of the tail shaft puts more strain on the uni joints and yolks, and you'll have problems bottoming out everywhere. Best option is get your one reconditioned.

As above, you can either get the length adjusted to suit a lowered car or adjustable upper trailing arms can straighten out the pinion angle and put less strain on the joints

I suppose it all comes down to how much power your punching out, they are usually pretty good but I would put in bigger uni joints before going a one piece shaft.

I also had a one peace tail shaft except the uni seased and yer i didnt really like it i will prob fix the uni and sell my one peice

Speak to JC about 1 piece tail shafts... his wrecked alot of stuff. Keep the two piece. Upgrading uni sizes is a great idea too Kel as you dont want one breaking and the shaft going through the floor.

When I got my diff made up they put the standard yolk on it. Engine builder was getting the shaft made up and told me that he wouldnt fit it to my car unless I upgraded uni's. It was bugger all difference but he said that I'd be shattered when the shaft came through the floor on a launch... glad I did it now... bit of peace of mind. Anyway, back on topic
