hey all. i got a sl vl with a injected 5 litre conversion it was a 6 shell that i did it to. i going through axles like there is no tomorrow as i am just running the standard drum rear diff with a locker. i have heard rumours from a few people about how you can put a vn centre and axles into a vl housing. but you have to cut down the axles i no they are stronger as thats what we use in speedway, but just thought i would see whats involved and if any one has done or heard about it before. OR if there is any alternative that is cheap and easy to do as its just my skid car. cheers guys let me no

yes apparently cut dont vn axles can fit, only with a minispool however. there is a thread on it somewhere u need to backcut behind the spline a bit so it can slide in enough

VN centres will fit into a VL housing, as they run the same diff. I wouldn't recommend cutting down axles though.

*sigh* Is that a VN LSD centre with VL axles in a VL diff housing? If so, big whoop - you and a shizload of other people.

^^ what he said. VN axels can be cut down but it will end up costing more than buying brand newies... Trust me I looked into it.. But in all honesty you can get V8 diffs for nicks. Hell you can buy a whole VL for stuff all these days. V8's are worth nothing.... Cheaper to buy a whole car than to get a diff...

Just buy a spooled VLT diff and be done with it. Or buy some VLT/VL8 axles to fit with your VN centre
