hey guys, just recently purchased a VT SS and the diff in it is pretty noisey and sounds like its about to go, got a diff out of another VT with it but turns out its not LSD  so it leaves me with either rebuilding the one thats in it or purchasing a minispool and chucking it in the open wheeler. please let me know if anybody has anything like this. cheers, brad.

Just get it rebuilt dude i wouldnt remomend putting a spool in it either to much load on the drive shafts. By the sounds it looks like your pinion bearings have let go very common thing on these diffs. Dana had a habbit of putting to much pre load on these bearings and most times the lack of oil changes killes them too because the oil air rates so it starves the bearings. So you may just need to put a set of bearing's through it unless it has done damage to the crown wheel and pinion?
