I have just bought myself a VL executive and the people told me the ignition was stuffed .
Not sure if this is the case .
The car turns over but will not start , it has spark , it has fuel . What could the problem be?
It does make a noise when i turn the ignition on , sounds like the fuel pump..?
any tips would be great
Thanks Trish

Well if you can hear your fuel pump going but sounds weird it might be your internal fuel pump. I had similar problems after I installed 600HP bosch fuel pump. It was running fine but was starving of fuel because of the internal fuel pump.
What actually happens, does it start? or does it start then die? or something else.

You cant really have spark and fuel and the car not run...
Unless the motor is seized ofcourse etc,
Check over everything with a multimeter see if your losing power anywhere, also make sureyou check the Neg.
There ment to make a priming noise when the ignition is turned on.
Id make sure your battery is earthing properly to the motor
Replace CAS and coil with known working ones.
Otherwise fuel pump could be the problem

if its turning over, fuel is getting to the engine, has spark ect its your timing, either dizzy has been removed and put in wrong, timing belt might have slipped a few teeth, but it could be the cas
