is there any way to find out if a/yours/mine car has factory fitted sunroof??

has the car got a sunroof?
easiest way to tell is if its a 2/3 way roof...i.e. backward/forward/up and if its a sheetmetal roof...not glass...
also just a valid note to take into consideration...no commodore was ever fitted with a "factory sunroof" they were all done as contract work outside of holdens plant so ive been told by several ppl tho

thats true frced6..
but..
when ordered from holden you would tick the sunroof option, then goes gets a sunroof fitted taken back to holden and you pick it up.
my old man also said some yards had sun roofs already fitted and was in show rooms to help sales....
And glass sunroof was a sunroof fitted, my calais had sunroof stamped on the build sheet under carpet and is a glass one

that's right...no factory fitted sunroof exists. they we're dealer options.
i once thought that if the edges were rolled and not hidden with a black rubber strip then this showed that it was installed at time of order. i may be wrong tho as some dealers today get away with that shortcut.
i recently put a new one in. I rolled the edges, re-sprayed the roof and reupholstered my roof lining.
I absolutely love it, theyre the best thing ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

its funny when u look at a commodore sunrood in comparisson to a mercedes sunroof...
i work as a spraybooth technician and with my undying passion for cars...i tend to look at cars...mercedes are die stamped roofs ( meaning when the roof is in the press...the hole is punched and the edges are folded down for a smooth finish...i know this as mercedes benz autobody in sth melbourne is one of the many shops i do in the field
