Ok I have read in a few posts of people wanting a shifter box to fit your shifter under the standard console. I was thinking of making a technical article about it, but i dont have all the info of pulling the standard one out. So... I have pulled mine out, taken measurements, and made 2 for another member of the forum. This is the result. ( refer to pics ) So i guess what im trying to get at, is if anyone wants help doing this please PM me and i can make the boxes for $60 each. Im sure there will be many questions, so fire away, and if anyone else has any info to add please do.

Did you do JET-086's J? Looks grouse dude. BTW to remove standard shifter: drill out pop rivets, unplug wiring, unbolt linkage. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

No Timmey I didn't do JET086, but im pretty sure he constructed something very similar to acheive his result. Yeah same process to go back in to: bolt linkage, plug wiring and pop rivet box in. Holes can be drilled anywhere to suit any shifter.

I did search for them before i posted but found nothing specific to this. Can you please show me the threads you have found? I am also offering my services to build the boxes for people, I didn't find that either.

I had a pro ratchet in my setup, so i can make one with holes drilled for you, but the shifter boxes will hold any shifter, just need to drill holes in diferent positions to suit.

I thought that you had to cut out half the floor below the shifter to allow this box to fit in. Is this true? Tones.

I just had to slightly massage the ends on the hole in the floor to suit mine. I can't see these being much different

when you remove the riveted plate, theres plenty of room no real need to cut anything.

Mine is cut a little purely to allow for the cable and mounting cable bracket.
