Anyone had SpeedFlow leaks?

Just wondering if anybody has had trouble with speedflow push on hose fittings? All my fittings on the pressure side of my fuel system are weeping, they aren't fully leaking like spraying or anything but they weep not from the screw up taper seal end but from the hose where it goes on the barb after every time the fuel pumps have been on. Anyone had this trouble?

are you running hose clamps on the barbs?

Na man, aren't they designed not to? If they need hose clamps ya'd might as well be using dirty brass fittings

yeah man collars are on. Under pressure they aren't leaking but they weep afterwards

I've never had a problem with Speedflow that wasn't related to poor assembly/adjustment on the end user's behalf.

He's suggesting that perhaps you haven't put it on correctly (if done by yourself). Have you tried pulling them apart and reassembling?

No **** thats why i'm asking him what can be done wrong when fitting push on hose to 400 series fittings

What brand is your hose? what alot of people dont relize about these fittings is that you need to use the same brand of hose else they will leak/weep. What alot of people are doing is spending the money on the fittings but skimping out on the hose or buying cheep inferior fittings that will also leak around the barb. I can give you the name of a race team that experianced the same problems that you face ie. thats how i now know about it.

Put up a pic of one of the hoses so every one can see exactly what type of fitting it is, and ecaxtly where it is weeping from. Are they rubber hose, rubber braid, teflon braid?

probably cheap **** rubber hose... get some aeroquip hose man, its ***in hard enough to get on the fittings, u'd hardly imagine they'd leak afterwards...

The hose was supplied to me by a speed shop with the fittings, cant be sure what it is didn't take much notice. It was bloody hard to get on thats for sure. I'll look for a pic Series 400 Speedflow Push on Weeping out the very end of the hose at the top of the barb, yet no spray when under pressure

there are special clamps that you use when running a bit of pressure fuel or oil etc) through pushloc fittings.... i have them on all my speedflow pushlocs that see any pressure.

Funnily enough mine have stopped weeping since they've seen some pressure and temp on the dyno, all good now!

Maybe they have moulded into shape with the heat I'm using proflow fittings on my fuel reg with just the standard cheap black fuel hose and i've got no leaks. I expected them to leak due to the cheap hose but its all good
