The moral behind this post is, I was wondering what you guys think of this setup, and how much power do you think is possible to make with this?
I have had the car going for a brief time but ran into trouble running with the standard computer (as you would anyway) but I have been waiting for Microtech to send me the CAS Loom they forgot to send me when I purchased the LT-10s. So, I havn't had the car going anywhere near its full potential yet or anywhre near descent.
So I am wondering how much power do you think this is worthy of making? It will be an every day driven car, but I was also hoping for a 10 second pass with some good tyres.
Also, I was reading a mazazine the other day just on VL's, and majority of them have now all gone with the GT42R's.
I was wondering with my setup, when would I expect to see boost come on and be in full boost if I was to go down the GT42R track?
So if anyone that has the same sort of setup as me, could you please post of PM me your power figures? And if anyone is running a GT42R through a manual box, could you let me know when I would or should start to see boost or be in full boost?
Thanks guys I look forward to hearing from you.

Bottom line you don't need a gt42r for 10's or the street. What you have now has potential to make around 350rwkw

your motor is all about the turbo and a good tune can make 300kw should make 500kw

Yeah sweet, I would be happy with 350KW, makes all the cold nights in the shed doing the wiring, putting parts on, then back off, then back on to measure etc worth all the while.
ANK, what did you mean by can make 300KW should make 500kw? Am I missing something? lol

well you got forgies 1000hp rated rods so if you put a 42 on your car it should be able to make big power as long as u have enough fuel

yeah i'd have to say 350rwkw and should be a 10 second pass, i've read other setups like this with 10 seconds flat, maybe a little more

only thing I'd change would be go a 1.06 rear on the turbo and get some 2step

Haha nah WAY too much lag for my liking, and I love my manuals, so I reckon that would do the trick for me :P
Ahh ok I am with you now ANK, 500KW does sound nice, but how much lag would I have in order to get that? A lot I would of thought.
BONSVL; I've read this as well, like 'ONABAR' he got a 10 second pass with sort of same setup. Better ECU obviously but yeah.

What gearbox?
You could always get anti-lag for the ECU. That'd help.

I got the Standard Turbo box, MX7or MF7 whichever one it is, but its def not the 5.
Do Microtech make something for that? I seen an Anti Lag video on an EVO on youtube, it shot a huge flame out the back, looked pretty cool.

26-07-09, 20:33 GMT+10#12 talking from experience, one of my vls was manual with 1.06 35/40 and it wasn't laggy, I didn't even have anti lag.
You wont make 500kw with a .82

Lol I am aware I wont make 500KW with the .82, but maybe around the 350KW mark which would be plenty for me. When did yours have boost? Maybe I need a good tune then because before it was a pig to drive, but once again I was driving around on a standard Turbo ECU (stupid I know)

27-07-09, 04:29 GMT+10#14 I can't remember exactly when it came on but it deffinately wasn't a lag monster, a quick kick of the clutch had it baking the rears easily, if you had anti-lag it'd be even better

.
MX7 is a VLT manual gearbox. MF5 is a NA manual.
