Hey guys, My Car is at the mechanic's at the moment, and the bloke rang me up saying that my Cat had its filter punched out, to make it louder and better flow etc. it is a 2.5 in and out, I am curious, Is it possible to somehow put a filter in again or do I have to buy another Cat. Also, would VR/VN Cats suit?

Would VR/VS Cat's suit? Since all I need is a 2.5'' in and out. If I were to change it, then change back, Id need to buy the gaskets aye

Buy a 2 1/2 inch high flow cat. It would flow better and sound nice, but there expensive I think.

I just got myself a cheap Cat. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI....:X:RTQ:AU:1123 (http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320397236551&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:AU:1123) He says its 2.5 In and out, so it should be fine. Need this car on the road asap.

Well, i've got a spare cat with the exact same logo on it and same looking flanges on it as the one u brought on ebay and it has 2.25 inch outlets 0.25 will make stuff all difference so it dosen't matter

Mate goto the wreckers, get them to rip off a cat for you, check it to make sure no idiot has shoved a 2.5inch pipe through it (like what happened to your old one), bolt it straight up to your current exhaust shouldn't need to swap gaskets or nothing. This thread really doesn't need 15 replies to this, lol.
