hey everyone. just thought i'd share up my falcon cause i'm bored ok never written a car thread before so lets see how i go. few months ago now i got myself a 1995 ef2 falcon futura classic, dark green with just below 196,000km's on the clock. and only about my foot size of clear peeled off on the bonnet. and now it has 222,133km's on the clock dad and i think the odometer is playing up due to me only having of driven it for about a month or so and it is impossible to put 26,000kms on the car in that time when i was working 6 days a week lol. woulda had to of driven 86 hours a day for 30 days at 100km/h to get 26,000km's oh and now i also have basically no cleer left on my bonnet as it's pretty much all peeled off so anyways, i was looking for a new daily driver as i couldnt stand doing 4 hour drives from canberra to wodonga anymore in my 1977 ke36 rolla wagon. and i happened to come across this el futura for sale with 1 month act rego left on it for $800 so i bought it obviously the car came with a really old cd player and eb or ed xr6 15's with bald tyres on all but one. sold the rolla for cash plus a set off el xr6 16's in pretty much immac cond with rwc tyres. took the car in for a rwc and all it failed on was an exhaust leak which i knew was there. so the next day went around the corner and bought a redback 2.5" catback system with single muffler for less then trade cost brand new fitted the exhaust that night and cleared the rwc the next day and put the car into my name. that night i went and picked up a spare set of standard springs, shocks and struts of a good mate for free. then went back to my cousin's place where we went ahead and did the dodgy and cut all 4 springs lol. remember the car was only bought to be a cheap daily driver. next day customer came into work to get some new wheels on his bf xr6 turbo to replace his factory optioned xr 18's. and when we went to put his old wheel's into the car he told us he didnt want them and we could have them so i was supposed to get these for free but my boss changed his mind and charged me 50 bucks for them after i handed in my 2 weeks notice and decided he wouldnt sell the tyres to me for less then trade price, he 1st tried to sell them to me at retail price lol. so i ended up getting 4 brand new maxxis mav-1's 235/40/18 front and 265/35/18 rear with brand new bolt on spacers and some 2nd hand genuine xr 18's for $1,328 i worked at bob jane by the way lol. then i swapped in the sound system from rolla into the ef to get some bass into it and decent cd player. and after 2 weeks i finally had the 265's scrub on the lip for the 1st time, it only took a full boot, full car and full tank and a bigass bump lol. so rolled my gaurds all around in the driveway like i have all my cars anyways, then i moved back down to wodonga from the act and got done for a burnout and the car impounded on the 2nd day back down here lol. stupid bald stockies in the wet. after i got the car back from the impound i then got defected for a headlight being out and i was on my way home to change it with the globe in the car so i left the car for the weekend and went up to canberra to pick up the vl turbo. and when i got back home i went to start the car up to put it in the driveway, battery was dead and noticed me mate left the glovebox open when he grabbed the cd wallet out of it before we left to canberra. oh well. pushed the car into the driveway and charged the battery overnight. all good started no drama's. next day went to start the car up, dead battery again was like wtf? so i disconnected and pulled out anything that could of been getting left on to drain the battery. charged it up again. started the car up no problems. went back out the next morning to start the car again. flat battery once again now before any of this happend my bcm was already playing up as i need to hit the dash to start the car and sometimes really hit it hard depending on the heat of the day. so worked out its gotta be the bcm. so now i have a new one on the way and should hopefully be here very shortly. woulda bought one from the local wreckers but that was twice the price of the one i found and its getting delivered lol so while the car has been sitting the act rego has expired so i pulled the number plates off. and i've given the interior a good clean out and replaced the digital clock globe and odometer globe as they were both blown. also sold off the 18's so the car now sits on the el xr6 16's. and it was in this time that it was sitting that all the clear has decided it dont like being on the bonnet anymore lol. so now that leaves the car up to how it's sitting now. so plans for the moment are to put pedders suspension all through it. and most likely put in the 3.45 diff gears i have laying around and throw in a manual and put it on gas. future plans other then those i'm undecided on so not gonna say anything now for the pics, will try and keep them as close to in order from when i bought it to how it is now as i can hope you all enjoy. cheers Hosie.
