Alright a friend bought himself an amp and sub. Bought a 2nd wiring kit, which came with all he needs but a control wire.
I went over there today, got everything hooked up except he didn't have the control wire so I asked another mate if a speaker wire would work. Ended up using the speaker wire and it seemed to have worked when playing music through the radio.
When he switch's to his iPod or a CD the amp shuts off.
Just need to know if anyones got any idea what's happening here, also remember that everything works fine when listening to the radio.

I recon that would be exactly it. Very easy to do.

Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
Alright thanks for the help. Will have a look at it when I see him again.
Can't believe it could be that simple lol.
Will post back when it's all fixed up if that was definitely the problem. The wire I connected it to though, was the only wire coming from the head unit that didn't have anything connected to it (it was blue as well).

Schneider monoblock. Thats all I can remember.
Fixed it. The aerial cable going to the head deck was connected to the control wire coming from the head deck, so much for strathfield's professionalism lol. Anyways, just swapped what I did over with what they did.
Now my mate needs to buy some ear plugs cause damn his setup is loud.
