hey,
i am just wanting to know wat i would need to run a turbo gas setup on an old 253... obviously using a gra t/b... wat ingnition would be needed... would an electrinic dizzy with a good coil be good enough not looking at huge power or boost jsut something better than the stock 253 on dual fuel?
thanks

GDay mate standard bosch dizzy modified with boost retard will do it. also using a good coil such as ICE or MSD.
twin convertors and lines would'nt go a stray!!!
why dont u get rid of the old fluffy 3 and slot in a late model vn headed 5ltr on gra no turbo, they go pretty good.

cause the four wheel drive is engineered with that block.. and it says the engine number and 253 on the engineers plaque in the engine bay
and its already on gas so was thinking it would be an easyish option

u could restamp a block and grind off the 308 mark if u really wanted.
If your 253 is still running good it would save u a heap of time buy not removing the engine in the turbo conversion.
what sort of 4wd is the 253 in?
