Hey fellas, 1stly gotta say, awesome site. Ok, Im sizing up a rb25det swap into a vl wagon, all pretty much sorted but just 1 thing im stuck on, if I buy a n/a wagon, use that to convert. Easy way would be to use the vlt/v8 diff and change to 4.11 centre im guessing? Or use the r33 diff cause its already 4.11, and both have rear discs, or is the r33 complete diff too much hassle? Im assuming the r33 diff mounts are different and maybe have to be shortened? But the r33 has independent rear. cheers Alex

to put it bluntly.... NO The vl has a live axle setup, R33 has independant rear. An IRS conversion has been done to a VL but it took a hell of alot of work... So forget about the R33 diff idea completely... Sounds as though you dont have all that much idea about cars as it is, so there'd be no chance of you getting it to fit, let alone working... So look for a turbo/v8 diff, or just have plenty of spare centres and axles for the 25spline.

No, it will not. An R33 is IRs, a VL is a live axles. They have entirely differnet mounting points. Please read this thread before posting next time: http://www.calaisturbo.com.au/showthread.php?t=133721
