vls have a 2 piece so being bolted up to the floorpan in the middle acts as a talishaft loop. tailshafts loops as ank said are only needed for single piece tailshafts. you will need a loop to enter most events whether it be burnout comps / driving events / drags. its a pretty standard thing and goes with a race helmet / tight battery. so yes yuou will need one if you are testing / tuneing off of a dyno.

ita true im a gun if you go a solid tail shaft you already have mount points to add a look cause of the middle bracket section of the 2 bit shaft bro there a universal item its like a flexi fit hat 1 size fits all lol they have cut one side off the loop here but gives you an idea Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Good idea using the 2 piece mount points. I'll direct my browser over to VPW for a look, could make your own very easy http://www.vpw.com.au/images/RPC-S7120.jpg

Damn, how thick is your tailshaft!? One foot? Whilst it's nothing special, VLs come with a body brace, that acts as a sort of loop. It can prevent the shaft from hitting the ground if the front uni shatters. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

(BTW,how'd you get on with your vibration ?) My mates running 10.6s with a 2 piece and never done a centre bearing (dont think its any special type) Anyway, don't quote me me, but im pretty sure ANDRA rules suggest a Tailshaft Loop to be positioned around 6 Inches rearward of the front UNI (thats where i put mine) MT Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

u need a tailshaft loop even if u have a 2 piece.... ive been booted out for having no loop and i have a two piece... has to be no more than 150mm away from the where the box and shaft join. also u can get a 2 piece made up that doesnt break... mine is rated to 1000hp. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
