Hi all,
Just wondering, are the $50 ebay water pumps any good?

If not, how much is a decent one and where would I get it from?

I wouldn't trust e-bay. You have no guarantee with e-bay, I would by the water pump from a shop like bursons, autobarn, supercheap auto or repco. At least you have a receipt or some sort of guarantee if something goes wrong.
Lubemobile repairs water pumps with a 20,000km/12 mounth warrenty.

Aren't genuine ones like $30?

I don't know how much they are. All I know is when you buy a product off e-bay there is no guarantee or receipt. For instance a friend of mine brought a e-bay turbo, it lasted 10 months.

Get a GMB pump. They have a 6 fin impeller the same as the Nismo pump. The GMB one I'm using has been reliable.
