Ok, so I'm trying to get my alarm working again, trouble is I think the alarm has immobilised the car. The only way I can start the car at the mo is by bypassing the ignition. Anyways, I have all but reconnected the alarm bar one wire, which used to be patched into the coil circuit of the RB30 (presumably to stop the coil from sparking?) I need to some how patch this back into the RB25DET loom. Unfortunately I'm not sure whether this wire is part of the immobiliser or simply a power feed. I have the wiring diagram (which I can post) but it's not much help to me (electrics aint my strong point). It is a Mongoose alarm with the all black wiring. (the wire indentifiers are removed after installation and the wires themselves are all red and black with a black sheath!) Any help appreciated!

ok, you can find a wiring diagram here; http://www.mongoose.co.nz/media/11898/M60.pdf pages 17 & 18. It looks to me like it is part of the immobiliser circuit (IMO1 or 2) I want to know if I can either temporarily disable this function, but better still rewire into a new circuit somewhere. Car doesn't go, so I really fix this myself.

its hard to say without seeing the car but yeah imobilisers are basicly a cut on usually the starter , ignitinon , or fuel pump. you need to find the wire which the imobiliser has been wired up to then simply cut off the imobiliser wires and re connect the wire which has been cut this should alow you to start the vechicle as long as everything else on the alarm has been wired up properly

the rest of the wiring has been untouched, since it was installed by auto sparky. i'm pretty sure it is part of the immobiliser circuit, as it was wired into one of the power wires for the coil. Since the engine has been changed to an RB25DET, I no longer have a single coil as I'm running the factory coil packs. should I be wiring the immobiliser into the coil packs somehow?

or the fuel pump,or ecu feed or any single wire that will stop the car running
