1986 Holden Commodore VL SL Turbo (QIK86)
Factory LW5, MX7 vehicle. Same owner for last 6 years.
188,xxx Genuine Km. 440+rwhp fully rebuilt forged engine done less than 2000km.
Body:
Calais front and rear, resprayed in factory Blue Ice colour (about 9 years ago now, but still looks good), new lights all round, brand new genuine GMH Calais rear garnish, battery relocated to boot, shaved aerial, engine bay resprayed 3 years ago while engine was out being built. Has a few slight stone chips and scratches as would be expected from the age of the paint job.
Engine:
O-ringed block, prepped rods, CP forged pistons, ARP head stud kit, headwork by Gerry Cooper at Advanced Engine Performance, big cam, stainless highmount exhaust manifold, Garrett GT35/40 with .82 rear, 45mm PSR wastegate, match ported vlt intake runners, polished jdcustom plenum and cooler piping, XF throttle body, 600 x 300 x 100 hybrid copy cooler, Carter high volume lift pump, boot mounted surge tank, twin Bosch 984 pumps, custom fuel rail, 660cc Rochester injectors, Sard fuel reg, custom alloy catch can, 4" K&N air filter with custom cold air intake, 9.0mm ICE Race Series leads, MSD 6A ignition, Autronic SM-4 ECU.
Driveline:
MX7 5 speed with 5 puck cushioned button clutch, 3.9:1 28 spline minispooled diff
Brakes:
Front - Slotted DBA brake rotors with Bendix Ultimate pads
Rear - Slotted and cross drilled DBA rotors with Bendix Ultimate pads
Suspension:
Lowered King springs (Superlow), Monroe GT Gas shortened shocks, Nolathane adjustable strut tops, Noltec adjustable panhard bar, Nolathane upper control arms.
Wheels:
Degeo 18" chrome wheels (Will also include 2 x Mickey Thompson ET Street Radials 235/60/15 fitted to 15x7 chasers and 2 x brand new Bridgestone RE92 205/65/15 fitted to 15x6 chasers.
Interior:
Full immaculate cerulean blue S1 calais interior included with sale but not yet fitted (minus rear head rests and a couple of dash parts), currently has standard grey SL interior, Momo Champion steering wheel, JVC MP3 Headunit and Alpine 6 x 9's, 2 5/8" Autometer Ultralite Boost guage mounted to A pillar.
Performance:
Car has made 442rwhp (330rwkw) on 23psi on BP Ultimate.
Has only had 1 run down the quarter and ran 12.7 @ 116mph on only 16psi with a bad launch (2.2sec 60'). Was going to turn the boost back up for next run but there was a bad accident at the track and the event was called off. I believe this car has low 11, if not 10 second potential with the manual. 10's all day with a decent auto.
Will be sold unregistered with no roadworthy. Queensland Aussie Flag themed "QIK86" plates can be included (open to negotiation)
