gday all
ive seen cars for sale around and they have written on the windows with some sort of pen... where do you get these pens and what are they called?
are they easy to get back off again when the car is sold?
i tried a few shops the other day but none were helpful...

They're like a chalk based pen AFAIK. Try an art store?

Pannel beaters mark windshields and body panels with water based markers that are rain resistant, yet removable with mild cleaners such as window cleaners. The markers for this application are formulated with water based acrylic paint similar to the paint found in poster markers. Some popular brands are posca and autowriter. Try art shops as said above, or bunnings.
