Hi all, Not sure weather to go for the 3.9's or 4.11 diff gears. . Its going through a MX7 and my car is on 19's (28 spline LSD) Just wondering if there is much difference between the two, and if anyone would have any figues (ie. revs at 100 k's, speed in first gear etc) That would be great. Thanks, Josh

im in the same situation, i have a big setup with abit of lag in it and i hate it. i am currently running standard 3.45's but i am about to put 3.9's in it. to get it moving abit faster down low. what are your thoughts on this?

3.45's... had 3.9's through my mates mf5 and it felt like a 4x4 in first, revin of tits to find out not much progress in speed, I hit about 47km/h in first but never really got to highway speeds to findout revs...

is it for a streetcar or track?? for street car ill stay to the 3.45 or 3.7 lsd 3.9 and 4.11 more for the track.. there no good for the highway. they rev high. maddd burnouts and sick take off. i have 3.7s in mine and happy with the gears, they dont rev high on freeway and the take off is there also. as for the lsd u should get it tightened before putting the diff together. do it once and dont need to worry about it after.

i have 4.11's in mine through a mx7 5 speed, revs at about 2600rpm at 100km/h so its not too unbearable, can definitely notice the extra pick-up with them, comes on boost quick

I'd go with the 3.9's, I think they're a good all rounder for street/strip. I'm currently running 4.11's in my car and I'm just passing the finish line in 3rd gear at 6000rpm (auto). It's not bad on the freeway either, cruising in overdrive 100-110kph revs sit at 2500-2800.

I just sent my VL into the workshop to upgrade from 3:45 Borg to 3:9. I don't know why but the mech recons it will haul ass of the line! Prime. I'll let yous know how I go on the dyno from comparison to my other tune with 3:45.

what do YOU want the car to do, street or strip, i cant see the point of 4:11s on the street personally

^ true. If its not for track use, why have 4:11's? 3:45's ftw ! Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
