Hi Guys, Well it's been almost 4 weeks since my VLT was stolen and surprise surprise no word from the Police. Now with my VLT stolen I have been left wondering... do I or do I not complete the boost gauge project I had been working on. Pictures above show hardware prototype rev01. Firmware is only approximately 10% complete. The unit can display boost, battery voltage & vehicle speed. Thoughts? Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

defiantly finish it man, its an awesome idea and would be great for you to get some selling if thats your plan, yes alot of hard work for a car u dont have anymore which sucks, but it looks like you defiantly know what your doing and you might eventually end up with another vl turbo which you'll want this for.

Thanks abrowne70. Yes you are right... will definitely get another VLT down the track and will want this boost gauge for it! Thanks calobrese. Not sure on $ at the moment. Have some time of work soon so will spend some of it completing this little boost display project.

only prob i see is that it only reads to 20PSI.. alot of streeters that want to keep mods on the down load would love this as it looks so factory, But then them people also run over 20PSI. Or if they run near 20PSI, no room for spikes

I thought I would design three (3) different versions. 1. Internal MAP (20PSI), battery & vehicle speed. 2. External MAP (2 or 3 bar), battery & vehicle speed. 3. Battery & vehicle speed.

very cool, finish it and you'll make some cash if you mass produce it

Thanks guys for your positive comments. I'm going to spend some time this week on completing the firmware for prototype unit.

Thought I'd give a brief update on my boost gauge progress. Things have been moving a little slowly (limited time) since I last posted a reply. Found a couple little issues I was unhappy with on rev01 of the hardware so rev02 was designed. Received rev02 blank PCB's last week and have built two for firmware development. I still have a fair amount of the firmware to complete. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Great idea. I think you will sell alot. My only question would be why would you incorporate vehicle speed and battery voltage when the standard dash already has these features? Wouldnt boost and AFR be of more value to the driver?

The simplest yet best idea i've ever come across If you do manage to produce a fair few of them, count me in for buying one. Great stuff mate, keep up the good work

imo i wouldnt waste my time putting an AFR meter on it, as only a wideband gives tru readings, and a narrowband is way to sensitive for any warnings
