hey guys, got a stock vl n/a motor with t3 turbo, turbo injectors and standard gate. looking at upgrading my setup for some more power. just wondering what you guys reckon, do you think a n/a motor would handle a t04z with stock internals?? hopefully not a dum question im just looking for cheap performance lol! obviously the gearbox and diff would be improved, but yeah do you reckon this would be ok or would it destroy the motor??

if you can afford a T04z you can afford some pistons at least lol the T04z will support 400-450rwkw, why would you want such a large turbo for an engine thats not built to support that kind of power?

my car was running a t04z - 244rwkw @ 14psi for several months of trashing and never had a drama. Only thing i done was a cometic headgasket. Before i pulled the car apart i cranked it to 18psi (appx 270rwkw) and went for a drive and never blew up or anything. You can buy my t04z complete setup if you want, have a look at my thread

I know of a certain 150,000km old engine (turbo, not n/a) thats loving a healthy 320rwkw daily and 355rwkw on C16. Only difference is a touch of compression... tune it safely and as long as its in good nick itll be fine.

but why go a T04z with power goals that a GT35r (or smaller) would support?

Theres another guy on here 333kw on N/a bottom end with Meth Injection. Its very doable you need supporting mods and from what Ive been told told and seen examples of, it all comes from a good tune.
