flat black is so typical, do something fuckin wild haha and for some reason i think you will have a hard time blowing up the good ol rb30.. should be a sick burnout car, rip a test skid and film it, i wanna see it in action! if you were thinking yellow or blue, maybe do some crazy 2 tone yellow and blue, something really eye catching, who gives a **** its a burnout car, thats what i would do anyway! could help you win comps if its eye catching and amusing also Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

whatever you do realise that the rear guards / rear bumper / rear end in general will get slapped so much so you may aswell not worry too much about quality and straightness. however put effort into the front end / front doors / roof bt1 yellow and asteroid silver is the way to go. also slappers will destroy the rear doormoulds... so make sure they are either glued on really well or something... as for driveline get a 28 spline spooled difff with short gears like 4:11s or something, with that and an auto (well serviced) engine choice shouldn't be a biggie. the rb30 will fare fine with some breatheing mods and a really good spark / fluids. also strip the guts out of the car and leave only the upper dash. the front half of a 2 piece carpet from knox carpets or trufit carpets, front armrests to pull the door shut and a set of seats should be the only other things in the interior. maybe front doorskins if you are worried about slipping out of your seats into the door. the burnout car will also need low and firm suspension to give it a really low centre of gravity. thats just standard stuff though. many comps will require you to have an extra u thingy to hold in the driveshaft if it becomes free from the diff or gearbox, vls will pass this straight away as they have a 2 piece driveshaft. you will also need an extinguisher, preferably large enough to actually make a difference but small enough to easily handle when in a fire situation. aus/nz approved helmets are also a must. 5 or 3 point harnesses / bucket seats / roll cage are all good considerations if budget allows. if budget doesn't even a set of vs seats are more moulded than vl. also a final consideration - panhard rod, from what i have seen many early holdens used as burnout cars demolish the mounts to the cars subframe hmmm i have thought about this alot and have been opbserving how other cars go and what they look like at the other end of the skid pad. reliability is core and presentation is also a large part of winning comps.

You are meant to clear the base coat pretty soon after applying it.... If you leave it out in the weather the base coat will break down very quickly.
