ok peeps i have a vl sedan and i have pedders low springs all the way around, adj panhard rod and there shocks now i also had my guards rolled and i have 19 inch vygts wheels with 245/35/rubber on them and today i got the guards pumped 10mm on the rear and the front bar moved back readjusted and i can say it has sorta fixed my scrubbing issue but when i go around corners at 40 k its still scrubbing and turning into driveways its still scrubbing and thats no passengers ive been told i need to go 235s for the tyres and maybe i need new stiffer sway bars front and rear what about the springs and shocks im looking at aurora springs for the rear but maybe its not the springs koni shocks might help not sure there is a new product out monroe gt sport shocks to suit the ultra low king springs would they be stiffer i dont know what else i have to do to fix this on a budget but my brain tells me i need air bags

235s will be the easiest fix. It's a lot of little things to fix something like this. Stiffer front shocks, bigger anti-roll bars (don't go too big on the rear) and also trimming the bumper and shaving tight areas Koni are very good, but Monroe are crap... your Pedders shocks will be better. There won't be anything wrong with your springs, unless you used lower springs in the rear than the front (ie lows in the front and super lows in the rear)

any idea brand and type of anti roll bars that i could use thickness for the rear and front i might get koni shocks for the front and a swaybar to help steering i guess i might get the tss drop in kit for the rear as suggested on Street com that way i can pump the rear a little higher with load......

I had a Signature 30mm adjustable front anti-roll bar which was good. Leave the rear stock or you'll find it screws up your handling

but maybe i could replace the old one tho with a new stock roll bar yeah

the anti roll bars wont wear, replacing with stock wont help... maybe a tiny bit of metal fatigue over 20 years but still wont be much of a difference at all (if any)

lol ive spent 1900 for my springs shocks and panhard bar from pedders and i spent 1300 for my wheels 1100 for the tyres and now 500 for the mods to the guards and its still no good i even went **** it yesterday and asked dad to come for a spin in the car up the road for dinner on a real bumpy ass road and scrubbed heaps i dont know any more lol with you having 255s in there you need a passenger in back with a cam corder recoding a trip some where magnifying any sound etc to see if it really doesnt scrape i cant see how you dont

What's your wheel offset? I would recommend borrowing a set of 235s from someone to see if that helps before you fork out.

there normal i guess i havent changed them but i doubt thats the problem the suspension pretty soft tho compared to my old wagon i had it had king super lows all round and was pretty rough but i had a whiteline adjustable pan hard rod and new adj trailing arms and lower arms tho maybe i could look at it but yeah i am so unsure still mind u jason i think its his name from TSS sugests the air bags in the rear would be better as they are more progressive and i can pump them up with weight in the car im going to try and get 235s to try on first then see where i go from there

245's are a big tyre... Is it the rear or the front scrubbing? How is your panhard rod set up? is there less room between tyre and guard on the drivers or passenger side with no load? I ran 245's on 19's on the front at powercruise, and the only time they scrubbed on the guards was when i dialled in a little oversteer through turn 3... Made no difference how much the car was loaded, that was the only time it scrubbed. I was however running coilovers with big swaysbars and koni yellow shocks.

Its scrubbing on the rear and the front thats just with two people in the car as ive mentioned ive had the guards rolled and pumped but thinking now the idiots didnt really do that much pumping out my new idea is to shave my wheels offset and change the tyres over but no one in bris seems to be able to help out with trialing i mean if any one has vy signatures/gts or fr 19s with 235 rubber on them and is happy for me to trial test them and see if it scrubs that way i might just sell the bloody wheels i got now and change to those mentioned im also going to try a sway bar and stiffer anti roll bar on the front but none of this can happen until i find a job in IT i cant afford anything atm let alone get my car ready for street commodores c4c icant do anything until i get a job so the cars going to sit for a while so far so many options to try and no real solutions its really frusterating that i have spent so much and already and the issue isnt solved
