please no,, i hope not.. there was a ****load comin out but there would have been a good litre of oil spilt on the manifold all the way to the cat,,, and as soon as i turn oit off, the smoke still is emmiting from near the cat to coming up from the engine bay,, which makes me think its not the motor coz the smoke would stop coming out when ya turn it off...but im wonderin how long it will take to burn off... coz the motor is fresh.. sounds all good... maybe the turbo blown a seal ??? but could the timing be out that little bit that it would make it smoke,, like fire up wrong..

If you spilt a litre of oil down the exhaust etc its going to take A LONG TIME to burn off completely! Get some degreaser out mate....motor isnt shagged its just burning off what youve spilt...doesnt take much oil to make alot of smoke!!!

lol i don't get it....is the smoke coming out of the exhaust or from the dumppipe-cat. if ur catchcan blew the top off and blew oil everywhere, that would usually imply high crancase pressures, which usually results from broken ringlands or similar

why would turbo seals cause his catch can to pressurise and blow the lid off. all turbo seals would do is pass oil through the turbo and blow smoke out the back

sounds like rong timing + a heavy foot = pinging and broken piston Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
