My old tank had an extra outlet, my newer tank which came out of a vl does not have the spare outlet my old tank did, so im left with a spare hose that runs to the front of the car, im unsure what its for and what i should do???? i no how confusing this sounds so hopefully pics help? old tank (you should be able to see the old outlet circled in red: where it connected to: and new tank which doesnt have the same outlet: any ideas on firstly what its for and what i should do? btw the hose is only looped on the first pic so the bit of left over fuel didnt splash out Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

would i be able to block the fuel return line, to drive for 5 mins or so? my car is on lpg so all i really have to do is start it up and flick it over on gas... would that be ok???, also can i run it back it to any other line say with a t piecs, as long as that line is running to the tank???

No, it has to go directly to the tank.

Any commodore V6 VR-VS would be best imo. The sender unit assembly has a In and Out hole. And it looks to me as it would line up no worries. call AFI(australian fuel injection) for one, all you would need to is have it modified so it fits a pre-pump not a full on fuel pump...or spend a couple of shiney pennies, and get an inboot surge setup :P

so I couldn't just buy one from a wreckers that would suit I'd have to buy a vr vs one and get modified,,,

no because the actual Fuel pump for the VR-VS is part of the sender unit assembly. I dont know what the go is thats just how i would do it. Maybe if someone whose done the conversion would speak up.

hey guys my cuzzin got a drop tank the other day for his vl....its out of a vr-vs and the internal pump only has one inlet line and one return line & one yellow plug.... but with the standerd vl internal pump connections theres 2 plugs a white round one and a squarish yellow plug with one inlet line as the first picture above the thread, how can he go about changing his tank over to the vr-vs drop tank because of the fittings etc if anyone has any info on about how it can work and how he can work around it i would much appreciate. thanks guys!.
