Ok a mate of mine bought a vlt off a member on here. Standard A8 block. Rajab style plenium Ebay t3/t4 highflow skyline 440cc injectors standard ecu with a chip that says 440cc-gtr tune inside??? Never played with anything like that and dont see how it could be tuned properly for his setup. The head gasket was blown so my mate replaced it with a standard one with his dads mate thats a machanic and apparently put the timming belt back exactly where it was. After that the car wouldnt turn over/start, he had a auto electy look over it for 3 hours and couldnt get it to turn over. I told him I'd come look over it, found the purple wire off the starter motor (N switch) so I wired a new plug up and she turned over fine but wouldnt start. Left it for the night and came back the next day, the car started but ran like it was miss firing (Very rough and wouldnt idle) it stalled and then wouldnt start again. I didnt have much time this arvo or the tools but Ive put it on TDC and put the rotor button to number 1 with the timming around 10-15 degrees while cranking but still wouldnt fire (it did sound like it wanted to start) Checked the spark plugs and where all the same fouled blackened colour so gave them a good clean as they where fairly new apparently. Checked the ohms accross the AFM pins 1 & 6 and was spot on. I had a feeling it was the CAS, but cheaked the ecu error codes and all that came back was 23, 24 & 31 anyone got any idears?

Timing issue. Have you sussed out to see if the cam is 180 degrees out? TDC it. Then start rocking and see is if 1st cylenders on exhaust stroke or compression stroke.

Have you got your ignition leads plugged in correctly lol? Something worth trying: When i did a push button start mod in my vl i ran a brand relay, switch and fuse totally isolated from the stock wiring and i noticed that when i tried kicking it over it just wouldnt start. worked out to be it had no fuel pressure because my fuel pump wasnt not priming or turning on at all for that matter. My ecu was also not getting any power. So what i did was reconnect the old relay (connected to the old wiring) which i thought i wouldnt need anymore and and there you go. my fuel pump started working again and so did my ecu. So what im thinking is that the standard starter motor relay triggers the fuel pump to prime and turn on and the priming circuit wont turn on the ecu untill the fuel pump had primed, or something along those lines. So id be checking that out mate. All the best sorting it out.
