ive just finished puttin a new engine in my car and i have everything hooked up the way it was except im not 100% on the starter motor wiring. now when i go to start the car it doesnt even try to crank over. the volt meter on the cluster is working and battery is normal. headlights and highbeams and everything works. fuel pump primes. when i turn it on none of the warning lights on the cluster come on. and when i go to start it the brake light on the cluster comes on. Have i wired this up wrong can anyone help??? thanks in advance this is how ive wired the starter. sorry bout the pic. and this plug is on the battery wiring but i cant find where it plugs into? Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

i used to get a brake light when either my battery was stuffed or bad conection or alternator but only the first two would stop it.

could the alternator wiring being bad stop the starter from getting power??

If it worked before, then you've probably wired it back up wrong. Have you checked it with a wiring diagram?

Check your earth strap to the engine mount i finished assembling a turbo motor once and forgot to put the earth strap on had me F *&7D For Ages haha It would have crank because it had no choice kind of like using the screwdriver against the starter to make it crank
