Hi all, thought i would put in my 1987 Berlina n/a fairly stock now, but high hopes for the future Name:Matt City: Canberra Car: 1987 VL commodore berlina S2 Engine: RB30E 3.0L inline 6 Colour: off white Interior: immaculate beige + brown berlina interior Story: owned 2 cars previously, 76' corolla, bought for $150 and sold for $1200 after touch ups, new clutch, wheels and windscreen + little bits and pieces. had a 92' lancer as a A-B car for 12months, then sold for tidy profit, then wanted something i could sink my teeth into. Something i could work on and put cash into without looking like an idiot. Was looking for manual v6 vr/vs commy, but no luck, very rare nowadays, but stumbled across my futurs vl. Had been advertised on carsales for 3months, terrible pic of it being the main reason. advertised for $2500. figured i would look, straight outside, except for severely cracked front bumper from a pole. Italian lady owned it, original owner, step in and i am blown away, mint interior, no sctratches, perfect carpet, and only 149000 kms. driven to the shops every weekend and to work once a week for 21 years. Took it for a drive with my step dad who's a mechanic, went beautifully, rubber holding the exhaust up had been replaced with a coathanger, so rattled a bit. Offered to guy selling it 2000 cash, took it straight away. Started with a new bumper, removed venetians and mudflabs. polished + waxed for hours after owning it for a day, paint came up beautifully with hardly any noticeable dents/scratches. and i went from there. exhaust fell off, so i figured why not replace with a new one? Modifications Exhaust: Pacemaker headers into 2 1/2 inch mandrel bent sports exhaust straight through Engine: custom cold air intake from vs commy, inspired by vl 88 wa Interior: lots of cleaning, took out floor mats and put some armorall on everything Sound System: JVC mp3 head unit, 4 inch top of the line jvc splits in front doors, jvc 6 by 9's in the parcel shelf and a 1000w 12 inch kicker sub in the boot with a audiobahn amp all installed by me, which also provides coloured lights in the boot. Everything else is pretty much stock, wheels, paint etc etc Plans:manual conversion LSD upgraded ECU + injectors turbocharger set up (when cash begins flowing more steadily) BOV and all the other stuff 19inch zenetti fives, OR something else sooner, like ceptors if i can find some asap lowered 1 inch front, 2 at back, and some stiffer suspension for better corners hopefully the pics work, and i will get some of the interior and boot install later Thanks for reading, pics will come later today or next week, and updates to come when i have cash Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

got a new grill to replace the slightly buckled old one, primed and painted over the long weekend, and got some king spring lows, spent 3 hours putting them in today, feels much better around the corners now next comes some wheels..
