Hey all, I am the lucky new owner of Weezy's black VL Calais turbo. So it's a factory tuxedo black Calais with leather that has been converted to turbo. The engine consists a fully reconditioned head with a Waggot stage II cam and reconditioned lifters. It has a second hand low kilometre s2 N/A bottom end underneath it with a multi layered steel head gasket keeping combustion where it should be. All the injectors have been cleaned and flow tested and came up perfect with a bosch 910 fuel pump and a brand new in tank pump getting fuel to the engine isn't an issue. Turbo is a T3 Hiflo, with a JD Customs no holes intercooler kit. It is also fitted with new 10mm leads and a full 3" exhaust from turbo back with a straight through cat and 1 muffler. The trans was built by MV Automatics and it is their 'Stage II performance package'. It is an MS1 Jatco 4 speed, fully rebuilt to higher specs and is good for 250 - 300 rwkW with a deeper pan, fluid cooler, 2800rpm stall and a B&M Pro ratchet shifter. In the rear its fitted with a 28 spline LSD. Will post more pics at a later date Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Oh this is up now! So far I have removed the chrome trim from around the wheel arches, put some Dunlop LM702 205s on the front to replace the skinny 195s it had and straightened the sagging cooler. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Reading that writeup makes me miss it I poured so much time and effort and dollars into that machine. Take it to 300rwkw! Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Something I forgot to mention in my first little update is that I changed those poxy silver, warped bonnet vents it had with some mint OG black ones which also made a fair improvement in its overall appearance. Another pic taken this morning in My back yard after a wash. I would like to get that side skirt re-fitted and my rear head rest brackets welded back in as they were cut out so the interior could be muzzed out with VT seats front and rear by a previous owner. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Also I had a spare 28 spline LSD center in the shed so on thursday I took it to work and stripped it down, soaked it in parts cleaner and wiped off all the gunk out of all the little nooks and crannies. So now at some stage when I have some dollars I will take it to precision drivelines and get them to supply me with some shims and new bearings, then I will re assemble it change the bearings and swap it over with the crappy unreliable LSD that is currently fitted. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Cheers Lockie I am pretty tempted to put My GKtech cooler kit on it and later put a polished rajab plenum on it as the JD customs piping is a bit of a mess really, the 3" piping looks tuff but none of it really fits right... Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

So lately I have noticed a squeak in the rear brakes and I new since I bought it the rear pads were low so last night I parked her in the shed, jacked her up, drained the engine oil and pulled the wheels of to change the pads and change the brake fluid. I found that the pads on the LH side were paper thin and the RH side had about 4mm left and when I went the compress the LH piston it wouldnt budge. So it turns out the piston is siezed in the caliper!! So today I am searching for a S/H caliper to slap on. I will chuck some pics up later Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

weird that the cooler kit doesnt fit right cos its a expensive kit. looking mint still.

The cooler piping just doesnt have the provision for the iac valve & the cold side pipe hangs epic low & doesnt reach the throttle body so its joined by an epic long silicone joiner.

I've probably got a disassembled rear caliper in the shed if you want it? Pay post?
