Hey guys basically i am in the process of building my rb30 up for my r31. So far i have a turbonetics T72, nizpro manifold and 42mm turbonetics wastegate, and have purchased the head off jakes ("tubbed1") VL. Im curious as too how much boost and power people have safely seen running 98RON? I was aiming for around 500+rwhp, but not sure how far you can push these engines on pump fuel before detonation starts to become inevitable

each car will differ depending on way to many varioubles a safe estimate would be 400-500 horse if you tried pushing much more on 98 ron your just asking for trouble sure its been done before but fuel qaulity these days are way to unpredictable and will result in heartache eventually...

yeah if you really wanna make bulk power on pump, you need a bigger motor, or a motor that can rev, the RB30 does neither. you should be able to hit 500 easy enough though. seen plenty of cars running 20psi+ daily, so maybe start at 20 and see how much power your making there
