Didnt u read the reviews? Alpine SWR-1242D Written By Nick, Albuquerque, NM on Thursday, September 25, 2008 I had 2 12" Type-Rs in a ported box, and I thought they slammed pretty hard. Good SQ as well, really good response time. Fast double bass in rock sounded nice and clear, not like one muddy boom. And they slammed pretty hard with extended super lowend hits. I powered them with a Kicker ZX750.1 that was tested at 940W RMS. I replaced them with a single Kicker L7 12" and it absolutely blows them away. If you can afford L7's you won't be dissapointed, they are incredible. All my buddies who have them have blow out their windows, I'm afraid to turn mine up that loud.

yer mate i run a Kicker L7 in my car which is the 750wrms 4ohm model in a ported box and it is absolutly insane....quality is very good you just have to make sure you have an amp to run it efficiently

Out of 1 L7 or 2 type Rs i would say the type Rs would be louder if getting the right power, But to make the L7 or type Rs louder get a nice custom ported box made...

i am running 2 typre r's off 1000rms V12. sounds increadible. You need to run good power to make these subs work.

either way ur gona be blown away with subs! im gona support the alpines cause iv never had problems with em no matter wat sub they are or amp

i had 2 15" kicker comps in a special box i made calld band pass. and they wone summernats street c class and spring nats street c class.

Ended up buying 2 12' Kicker L7 and guys...... ITS ****ING AWESOME. my poor vl shakes so hard i'm concerned its gonna fall apart lol. is it worth it? absolutely
