ok the last couple of weeks 4th gear has been really crunchy to get into , like the synchro is worn, had the vl out for a drive today and gave it a squirt from 2nd and not flat changed but grabbed 3rd pretty hard and it was like i missed a gear, hit rev limiter. after i tried again it was gone, like it will go into gear but its not there.. same with 4th after it. 1st, 2nd, 5th and reverse all work as normal... can someone who has seen the inside of these gearboxes give me some info on whether ive broken the 3-4 selector fork or is the gearbox fubar'd?

Friend did exactly the same thing and he had blown the whole gear cluster to pieces.

i had the same problem with 3rd and 4th, it did'nt crunch it was just really hard to get it in and out of 3rd and 4th, all the other gears were fine, it was a linkage problem
