First off, BEWARE 56K, i like pictures! Hey fellas, ive been a member on here for a fair while so i thought i should post up my car. I bought the car unregistered i think almost 5 months ago from a bloke who claimed he had bought it off a mate from work and he was going to wreck it and sell it all off as parts but then decided not to as he thought he wouldnt have the time or something, then a few months later i saw him selling loads of parts on ebay from an old celica, turns out obviously he was wrecking it, so i dont know what his story was lol. Anyway, its an 86 Asteroid silver Berlina which looked like sh|t when i bought her! The day after i washed her and she turned out looking not that bad, apparently it had been a daily driver before this bloke bought it, the story was tha because he intended to wreck it, the rego it had was cancelled, so i had the papers for the cancelled rego and everything, it does have a 2009 rego sticker and parking tickets for not long before i bought it in there, so it was obvious the car was in working condition. Nothing was wrong with it, besides a bit of rust under both windscreens (front and rear) and a few broken plastics, and the drivers door checkstrap thing was broken. I had been promised by my uncle that when i bought it he would take it to his place and we would fix all the rust and get her roadworthy so i can have her ready for when i get my P's (yes im still only 16 and on my l's, til may this year!) which is still yet to happen, he reckons next month some time but i dont know, he first reckoned before christmas, then it was before new year, now its february sometime lol. Here are some pictures from the ebay ad, and the night i got it dropped off at my place: And some more photos, including after she had a wash: Since i had her sitting in the garage doing nothing i started to get antsy and began spending money on it! First thing i did was buy 2 pairs of rear super low springs off ebay for 10 bux lol, not long after i went out and bought a sony head unit, then bought an amp wiring kit and a sub box as i had a sub and amp lying around, the car stayed like that for a while til i got sick of the sh|tty amo and sub, and upgraded, i bought a DUB2502 amp, which is bridgeable to pump out 500W RMS, and i also bought some cheap Pioneer sub, the combo pumps alright when everything is turned up to the max, it rattles everything there is to rattle on my car haha. Then the car stayed like this for a while, 'til i bought a new pair of 6" speakers for the parcel shelf, it was sounding alright now, then i wired up some little 4" speakers into the front, somwehere in all that i forgot to add that i bought a set of immac XHP machine polished 18" x 8" sabers. the car was looking quite nice now. Pictures of the car the day i got my new wheels: And i just liked this photo haha: Anyway, i left the car alone for a little bit and got bored again, i cant remember which was first, (tbh i cant remember the order of anything did to the car) but i then installed a 2.5" mild steel mandrel bent cat back exhaust for $170 brand new, i thought that was cheap! it gives it quite a nice note, and i did a boot install, which i built and carpeted myself its pretty shonky but hey i dont have much experience with wood lol, and i used a jigsaw to cut everything hahaha. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

pics of exhaust: Pics of boot-when i got the car: Not too long after that, with new amp, still old sh|t sub: And then after i built all the ****: Now: Then i bought a new momo steering wheel off SIROLLER off the forums and sprayed it to suit my interior, and whacked her in. steering wheel: Then for christmas i got heaps of suspension gear, KYB excel g gas shocks and super low lovells front springs, so now she sits even! and since that, i havnt really done anything, now im just waiting to take it to my uncles place so put all this **** in =D =D =D: Anyway this is how the car sits as it is today: Car looks better in person somehow, photos dont do it justice lol. I hope to come on a cruise one day when i have my p's and its all finished! Future plans are probably bigger rims, i like the ve gts at the moment, and also either a walky kit, aero kit, OR (the probably more likely outcome id say) a vk group 3 rear bar extension, LE side skirts, and something like a walky or aero front bar, i think haha i dont even know. Cheers for reading fellas, ill be updating as soon as work commences, all comments and criticism welcome! Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

looking good! i was looking at the wheel thinking huh its like mine but its also missing a ring! must be a common problem. is it registered? b/c there are no plates or is that just for photos? i love the director body kits, like all 20 something pieces especially the little arch over the rear 1/4s and the roof. thats a hell of a kit especially with a set of spotties on it. alternately a very effective and cheap approach is a set of calais lower black sideskirts on an sl. makes it a little lower and looks hot. (note: do not spray paint these moulds, just silicon spray them and wipe the excess silicon off. over 4-5 applications it will completely restore the shine.) anyway loving it and good luck with the manual conversion - Mitcham

starting to look nice man, heres a tip, to make the boot look a tiny bit tidier, drill little holes near where each wire connects to the amp and then runn the wires through the holes so the wires aren't really visible anymore if u know what i mean but please take off the honda sticker and hsv badge i'd leave the body how it is now and maybe put sideskirts on as siroller said, and maybe dakr tint the windows 20%...? and maybe tint the rear taillights a bit

nate shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh my intercoolers hidden and my bonnet "doesnt open" for the polices sake i only drive mine once maybe twice a week and get off my p's in a couple of months so its not too bad just drive it n/a and build a turbs motor till ur off your p's then slot the turbo monster in but it will suck waiting 3 years
