it seems as though its not the blowing up part you have to worry about with the kkr units, its more that they just dont make any power. no, i havent used one but i was doing research on them and all the dudes were dissapointed on the power they made. from what i gathered they lasted good but just didnt make any real power. type in kkr turbos and diffrent keywords on skylines australia website and have a read before you buy one. if you have a t3 on your vl turbo have a go at one of the "hypergear" highflows. the guy is a sponsor on here. it makes your standard turbo off a vl into a 500hp unit or if you have a rb25 which i think you might going by your user name, "hypergear" also do a rb25 turbo highflow that makes the standard rb25 turbo into a 450hp unit. also have a look on the " proboost.com.au " website. apparently they do a exact copy of a garrett gt3540 turbo. they offer a 12 month warranty on thier turbos. i think his name is "ozmodgrant" on the ausrotary website and he was doing some good gt42 sized turbos and getting good results (i think he does consistent 8s or 9s on one of his gt42 sized ones he makes) if you do buy one make sure your ready to put it on your car the day it arrives so you can make the most of the warranty. ozmodgrant honours the warranty apparently. the gt35 copies are $700 for plain bearing and $1000 for roller bearing. dont quote me mates but i think "6boost" off here was saing that there real mad and ****. * please be advised, this is only what ive gathered by reading internet stuff but if anything it will give you more reading material to see which way you want to go. it was gt45 size turbo sorry mates. the big ones

I have never heard of kkr's not performing.. I think they had like a 2nd 'batch' of turbos, cause initially i heard many bad stories but after the new 'batch' i havnt heard a bad report. And they warrent them for 6 months... I wouldnt buy one personally cause china gear normally isnt of the best standard.. But yeah never have i heard of them not performing. Good mate of mine hadd a kkr430 on a standard 25. It was a perfect street based turbo, made 230ishrwkw on 15psi and had full boost just over 3 and held it to 7600. Look at all of Team Peer... They definatly perform!

I made 250rwhp with a KKR 430 straight out of the box, with standard injectors and computer. I haven't had any problems with it after 10 000 Km.

thats not bad jordy u still happy with it ?

Are you planning to upgrade everything else eventually jordy? You can make that power with a t3, im making 260rwhp atm with one, very responsive, couldn't really justify buying a kkr for the same power unless your eventually going to support it with everything else.

Currently I'm pushing out a tick over 250hp and as long as I have standard injectors I'm not going to add any more boost. The old T3 that I had previously was pretty wrecked, so I bought the 430 as a bolt-on replacement. I was in my final year of uni last year, so I didn't really have time or money to build a monster at that stage.
